Amsterdam’s Project Fearless has a simple, if bold, mission: ‘To enable more girls to become scientists, engineers, builders, makers, creators or to get to the top of any ladder they wish to climb.’ And to facilitate this, the group hosts everything from mind and movement classes, hands on creation from printmaking to woodwork, and courses in volunteering and community leadership that bring girls together and teach them to be brave, risk-taking and adventurous. ‘This isn’t about simply teaching girls self-defence, or how to build or mend something. It’s about setting them up for their futures.’
