Jones Food Company is betting big on a vertical future, planning what it describes as the world’s largest vertical farm outside Bristol to match its existing facility in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, already among the biggest vertical farms in Europe. With agriculture a major source of global greenhouse gas emissions, high-rise farms may be a glimpse into previously unimagined food systems of the future.
